Today Karl and Zach rode 48 miles from Ruidoso, New Mexico to Alamogordo, New Mexico, biring their total miles for the trip up to 2533. They should have less than 1000 miles to go. Karl told me their first 8 1/2 miles was up hill to the Apache Summit and after that it was mostly downhill. He told me their ascent for today was 719 feet and their current altitude is 4360 ft. They stopped at a Pistachio farm where Zach had his picture taken in front of the giant Pistachio.
