Today, Karl and Zach rode 70 miles from Terre Haute Indiana to Effingham, Illinois. Like yesterday,  they spent about 1/2 hour riding in the rain only today the rain was in the morning. They passed through a small western town called Greenup http://www.villageofgreenup.com/ and Karl sent me some pictures he took of town. He also sent a few other pictures. I don't know whether they were taken today or not. I will include them all below.

Karl said they changed time zones this morning so they are now one hour ahead of us. They are about 110 miles from Saint Louis, Missouri. They hope to reach there in the next two days weather permitting. Once they get to Saint Louis they plan on taking a break and doing some sight seeing.

Karl told me they encountered a group of riders today that started in San Francis, CA and were planning to finish their ride in Bethany Beach, Delaware in about 2 weeks. He didn't get a change to ask them how long they had been riding so far. Those rides could travel faster than Karl and Zach because they had a vehicle following along that was hauling all their gear.

Karl wanted to me thank Robby and his team at Bike & Hike in Effingham, IL http://www.bikeandhikeweb.com/ again for cleaning, tuning and adjusting their bikes. Robbie and his team stayed an hour past closing to get the work on their bikes done. Karl said they finally found a bike shop with service as good as the Trimsport Cycle back home https://www.facebook.com/pages/Trimsport-Cycle/206949395982034 .
